Projects
The management console is the primary internal and external work tool. Installations and maintenance is managed remotely via a web interface. There are also two mobile apps.
Through personal use of these tools and coordination with back-end/front-end developers, the commercial department and operations, improvements were gradually implemented over time. A design I made being the long term goal for a fully fledged interface and multi-tool environment.
Management Console
This was the largest ongoing project that I collaborated closely with the developers as the resident UI/UX point of contact. I made a mock-up of a future vision of where the tool should go. This was based on feedback from customers and as one of the primary users of the tool within the company during installations and onboarding of customers.
Mobile apps
As a part of the installation process, there were two applications that were used. The installation app and a demonstration app to showcase and test the installation. Many updates were made where I collaborated closely with the developers.
The design went from an in-house design to using standardised iconography, text and use of navigation elements from design principles established by Apple and Android.
Some elements were tailored to the solution Sonitor delivers to ensure an intuitive understanding of what the user is looking at in terms of the installation they're looking at.
